When the shootings resumed in June during the first phase of unlockdown, the producer couple Yash and Mamta Patnaik were ready with their new show “Ishq Mein Marjawan 2” to go on-air. The former shared that the well-being of his cast and crew was their first concern.
“When we reopened production on 25th June, safety was our top priority. Following strict SOP was like having a parallel medical facility on the sets. Though initially, it was tough for everyone, gradually it became a part of our lives,” Yash said.
“It’s been six months since we resumed production, and no one is complaining. Everyone is more cautious about the health and wellness of not just themselves, but others around as well. In these times writing and production design has also gone through a shift. Keeping the safety of the cast and crew is always there in mind while creating plots and layouts,” he added.
What are your expectations from 2021? “Consumption of content across formats and platforms has gone up manifold. More people are watching content than ever before. As a company, we have used this time to develop some exciting concepts for TV and OTTs. We have many exciting talents from Bollywood working with us on multiple projects,” he said.
“2021 will be a year of opportunities for content and everyone connected to the content industry,” Yash added.
