The episode starts with Kannamma and Madhu laughing and mocking at Barathi and Dhandapandi after hearing their actions which caused their attestation. Barathi says that Kannamma wanted him to make everyone know that he was quitting alcohol. Kannamma says to Barathi that she meant her family when she said everyone. Barathi is upset that Soundarya is now angrier at him than before. Kannamma advises Barathi to go home and convinces Soundarya. Barathi and Dhandapandi drive off.
Soundarya returns home. Venba tries to instigate Soundarya against Barathi and sends him to a deaddicticon clinic. Soundarya’s brother clarifies that Barathi picked up a fight in the bar, asking everyone not to drink, which shocks Venba and Sharmila. Soundarya goes to her room and locks her inside, wanting to be alone. Venba and Sharmila discuss. Venba can’t believe Barathi asked everyone not to drink and finds something fishy.
Later, Barathi returns home. He calls out to his mom. Venba asks Barathi why he is doing all this. She asks why he promises to stop drinking when he can’t keep the promise. Barathi shouts at her. He asks where Soundarya is. Soundarya’s brother says that Soundarya has been disturbed and locked herself in the room ever since she returned home from the police station. He asks Barathi not to disturb Soundarya. However, Barathi urges Soundarya to come out of her room. Barathi takes an alcohol bottle in his hand. He says to his mom that he won’t drink alcohol hereafter and swears it on his mom and dad. He asks Soundarya to come out of the room and talk to her. As Soundarya doesn’t open the door, Barathi says that he will drink alcohol and will continue to drink for all his life if she doesn’t accept him now. He says that he will count till ten and he will think that she accepts him if Soundarya comes out before he finishes counting till ten. Sharmila and Venba hope that Soundarya will not open the door. They’re happy that Soundarya didn’t open the door even after Barathi finished counting till 10.
A vexed Barathi decides to drink alcohol. Anjali tries to stop her. Just then, Soundarya opens the door and comes out of the room, shocking Sharmila and Venba. Soundarya asks Barathi if he is saying the truth that he won’t drink again. Barathi assures her that he will never. He asks her to believe him. He places his hand on Soundarya’s head and promises not to touch alcohol again. Venba says that Barathi can’t keep his promise and his mind will change and will start drinking when he sees all the alcohol bottles kept in his room.
Barathi breaks all the bottles in front of Soundarya and the family to prove his determination to quit alcohol. He asks Soundarya to break the last bottle. Soundarya obliges. Soundarya feels content when Barathi says that alcohol will never enter their house hereafter. Barathi asks Soundarya if they can celebrate their birthday now. He says that he has made all the arrangements for it. Soundarya agrees. Barathi is elated to hear this. He lifts his mom in his arms and twirls around while Venba and Sharmila are enraged to see this.
