By Anil Merani| Pooja Banerjee is back to work after childbirth. She is doing Balaji Telefilms Sony TV show, Bade Ache Lagte Hain 2. She had quit Kumkum Bhagya during her pregnancy.
“This time, I work less (fewer days and working hours), so I can spend more moments with my baby during her awake hours.” Poojaz has also moved into a house closer to the set, “so when I am free, my daughter comes to set.”
She explains her Bade character, “Pihu is a feisty girl who is romantic. For a long time, I had done docile romantic nature leads( Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum and The Adventures of Hatim ), then switched to feisty negative characters, i.e. Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kumkum Bhagya, as was not having fun. But slowly, over time, I wanted the best of both worlds. I am incorporating a bit of Pihu in Pooja “ added she.
When asked about the show’s concept of mature romance, she says, “For me, more than love, friendship and respect counts, love eventually happens.”
