By Anil Merani: After Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, well-known TV actor Angad Hasija is back on the small screen with the Colors TV show, Suman Indori.
” I have just started shooting; my r parallel lead character provides moral support to lead Suman (Ashnoor Kaur) post leap: There will be no romantic link-up. “
“Vikram stands like the Rock Of Gibraltar for Suman, helping her to navigate the cutthroat world of politics, taking on the formidable Mittal family and Devika (Anita Hassanandani ). I don’t want to say more as the layers of my character are still being unravelled.”
Regarding the Suman Indori—- setup, Angad says he enjoys sharing screen space with his good friend Zain Imam; “I have worked with the director before. I also knew Anita before, But yes, this is the first time I have worked with Ashnoor.”
He does not feel that the vast age gap between Ashnoor and him will matter. “I go by the script; like I said, there is no romance here.”
Angad admitted not having seen Suman Indori. ” I have just the last few episodes to get the hang of the story.”
Before Suman Indori, Angad was a part of Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, which he quit due to film engagements.” My debut Hindi film lead, Dil Awaara Hai, was released earlier this month. It had a targeted release up north. I am also doing another Punjabi film. “
Ask about Pashminna – Dhaage Mohabbat Ke, and he says while it was a good show”, I missed Mumbai and my family as we shot the entire Sony TV series solely in Kashmir.”
Unlike other actors, Angad is not insecure. No wonder he does not mind playing negatively (Pashmina and Ziddi Dil Maane Na) or parallel lead, as in Suman Indori “I am confident in my skin, and the character’s arc is more important than the billing.”
In closing, we ask Angad about the rumours that Suman Indori might end. His response is filled with optimism and confidence. He states, “The producer Prateek Sharma has denied any happening . During sign-up, I was assured that they hoped to resuscitate the show post leap on my
shoulder. I am confident that we will ride the storm and continue to do well on the dint of hard work.” This optimism will make the audience feel hopeful about the future of the show.
