By Gossips Tv : Zee TV’s long-running and beloved show Kumkum Bhagya is all set for a major revamp with a generation leap. This shift marks the exit of the current lead pair, Rachi Sharma and Abrar Qazi, along with several other cast members. The makers have decided to refresh the storyline in an attempt to revive the show’s declining TRPs.
In an exclusive update, Gossips TV has learned that Temptation Island fame Akshay Bindra has been finalized as the male lead. He will be seen opposite the talented Pranali Rathod, who has already impressed audiences with her previous performances. The show’s fresh pairing aims to recreate the magic of its predecessors and bring a new wave of excitement to the audience.
Initially, actors like Kushal Tandon, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Adhik Mehta, and Paras Kalnawat were approached for the role, but things did not materialize. Now, with Akshay Bindra onboard, fans are eager to see how this new pairing will fare.
Kumkum Bhagya, produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, has had a glorious legacy. It originally starred Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia as Pragya and Abhi, followed by the next generation led by Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul. Whether Akshay and Pranali can recreate the same impact remains to be seen.
