She is pleased with the rising ratings of her Zee TV show Vasudha, which has now reached 1.9 and is a joint leader with Tum Se Tum Tak. This success makes fans feel proud and inspired by her achievements.
We had a quick chat with Parineeta, who is heading home to Assam to wish in the new year.
“Yes, ratings have gone up, and I feel the main reason is the strong story and connectivity with the viewers.”
Talking about her character and the change since Nausheen Ali Sardar stepped out (she earliar played the Chandrika, she says, “I’m very happy with my role. Chandrika is a strong woman; she’s impartial and just. I love playing here and enjoy shooting every day. The character arc hasn’t changed. Right now, Chandrika may seem selfish, but she’s not. Everything has a reason, and that’s why Chandrika is Chandrika Singh Chauhan.” Her connection with viewers through this strong character helps keep the audience engaged and interested in her journey.
How is it working with the leads, Priya Thakur and Abhishek Sharma?
“It’s fun shooting with them. Both are very hardworking and dedicated.”
Parineeta has been a part of desi TV for a while, playing strong roles in shows like Swaragini, Bepannah, and Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan. Her varied roles showcase her versatility, inspiring fans to appreciate her range and talent.
“I think I’m blessed to have played opposite characters. I’m not typecast; I’ve had the opportunity to explore a range of characters and emotions in every show.
Would you want to explore your glamorous side in a mature romance?
“I don’t care about exploring a glamorous side; for me, it’s never about looks, it’s about getting to act. As long as I’m getting roles where my creative side is happy, I’m so glad.”
