Does Star Plus’ Tod Kar Dil Mera Season 1 Echo the Emotions of Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana? Here’s the Unexpected Twist

Star Plus has always brought compelling and highly relevant stories to its audience. While the channel consistently presents interesting and relatable subjects through its shows, this time it introduces a story that draws similarities with the film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana.

Star Plus’ upcoming limited series, Tod Kar Dil Mera Season 1, narrates the story of Raj and Raushni, which bears resemblance to the characters of Satyendra and Aarti from the film. Much like Satyendra, Raj is a government clerk, and his marriage with Raushni is also an arranged one. In these and several other ways, the show reflects noticeable similarities to the film.

However, there is a key difference. In Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, Satyendra and Aarti part ways and go on to build their individual lives, whereas in Tod Kar Dil Mera Season 1, Raj and Raushni are happily married and living a fulfilling life together.

Ashish Raghav essays the role of Raj, while Anurima Chakraborty portrays Raushni in Tod Kar Dil Mera Season 1. In the film, the characters of Satyendra and Aarti were played by Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda, respectively.

Watch Tod Kar Dil Mera, from today onwards everyday at 7PM only on Star Plus.
