By Gossips TV : Star Plus’ recently launched drama Shehzaadi Hai Tu Dil Ki may soon witness a major casting change. According to reports, Imlie actress Megha Chakraborty is being considered to step in as the new female lead, replacing Ashika Padukone.
The show, which premiered in December 2025, is said to be heading towards a fresh narrative phase. The makers are planning to introduce a new heroine to take the story forward, indicating a possible exit for Ashika. While there is no official confirmation yet, discussions are reportedly underway.
According to reports on Etimes the team is keen to revamp the storyline early on to maintain audience interest. Megha, who has been part of several popular television projects, is believed to fit the evolving character arc the makers have in mind. If finalised, her entry is expected to bring a significant shift in the ongoing plot.
The series, an official Hindi adaptation of the Telugu show Karthika Deepam Season 2, stars Ashika as Deepa and Ankit Raizada as Karthik, whose intertwined journey of love, pain and destiny has been central to its early episodes.
