The TV industry is at an all-time high. Last week there were pics of Ekta Kapoor with Rajan Shahi, and the new week begins with beautiful pics of Binaiferr Kohli and Sanjay Kohli with the Balaji Telefilms Limited founder, who hosted a star-studded event for the launch of her talent management firm—Hoonur. Binaiferr and Sanjay were clicked enjoying a conversation with Ekta, which onlookers shared reflected their mutual respect for each other.
Binaiferr and Ekta were seen hugging each other in a frame, which not only showcases the respect and strong professional relationship they have but also the camaraderie they share beyond shows and numbers.
Ekta with her Balaji Telefilms has helped shape the Indian TV industry with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kutumb, and Kasamh Se, among others. Her supernatural thrillers are one of a kind and have garnered the audience’s attention like no other show in the same genre. Her Naagin is in its seventh season and continues to rule the audience’s hearts.
Binaiferr and Sanjay together head Edit II and have carved a strong niche for themselves in the industry. As Sanjay is known as the “King of Comedy” of the small screen, the couple has managed to tickle the audience’s funny bones with their shows like Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, May I Come In Madam?, Jijaji Chhat Parr Hain, Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai, F.I.R., Family No. 1, Sahib Biwi Aur Boss, and Excuse Me! Madam, among others. Their Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! is currently in its second season and continues to be the longest-running comedy show on Indian television.
Though Binaiferr-Sanjay and Ekta met due to their professional commitments, their coming together is a reminder of the strong bonds that are made in the industry that go beyond individual projects.
Hoonur, which will be led by Mohammed Nagaman Lateef, currently has artists like Urvashi Dholakia, Riddhi Dogra, Shiny Doshi, Shiv Thakare, Madalsa Sharma, Simba Nagpal, Shubhangi Atre, Sahil Uppal, Aditya Khurana, Shagun Sharma, Swati Sharma, and Kanika Mann, among others. The vertical focuses on long-term career planning of artists across all entertainment platforms.
