I don’t need Bhanu for at least 70 episodes, so why should I audition for a possible Manasi Salvi replacement? Mahadev & Sons, producer Saurabh Tewari

By Anil Merani: The ongoing drama between Manasi Salvi and producer Saurabh Tewari (Parin Multimedia) continues to escalate. Manasi refused to continue shooting for the Colors TV show Mahadev & Sons, citing fewer shooting days and a better offer from a rival channel, which fueled the dispute.

According to certain media outlets, the producer is actively seeking a replacement and has even held auditions for the role of Bhanu.

However, when we spoke to Saurabh, he says, “As per the current storyline, Bhanu has no space in the story for a minimum of 70 odd episodes, hence why should I audition ?. If ever I need a few days, I will ask Manasi to come and shoot as per her contract. Look, we never stopped her from shooting elsewhere. Our point is that pls feel free to take up alternate work, but come shoot for us as well,” he added

Sources suggest the problem lies in Manasi seeking an exclusive contract with Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment for their upcoming Zee TV show, which typically includes a Minimum Guarantee, paying actors for a set number of days regardless of whether it’s a shooting-versus-non-MG contract that pays only for actual days worked.

We can’t confirm whether Manasi has any contract with Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment or its terms

“As of now, our story is rating well, and hence I don’t need Bhanu, even in the original Telugu track(Mahadav is a Hindi spinoff). Bhanu was not there in the current phase.
so I am not worried,” ended Saurabh

The source furthur added that a problem might arise if and when Saurabh asks for days and Manasi declines, then a breach of contract arises

If the current track holds, then the maker might not need Manasi’s dates till Oct, when her notice period lapses, after which she is free to do her own thing.

It appears Parin Multimedia has decided to end the association with Manasi.

Ideally, both parties should sit down and work out a viable endgame. Source adds that some attempt has been made by one side to reach a detente, but the other is not yet ready to meet halfway. We will not say who, as we dont have clear proof of the same.
