Naagin 7 ends tonight : Priyanka Chahar Choudhary shines, but weak writing and poor execution drag down the season

By Gossips TV : After months of twists, supernatural battles, and high expectations, Colors TV’s Naagin 7 is set to conclude its journey tonight with its grand finale. Headlined by Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Namik Paul, and Kanika Mann, the season arrived with massive buzz and the promise of reinventing the franchise. While it delivered in some areas, it ultimately struggled to maintain the momentum it built during its initial run.

The biggest highlight of the season was undoubtedly Priyanka Chahar Choudhary’s performance as Naagrani Ananta. Whether portraying Ananta, Ahana, or Apara, she handled each shade of her character convincingly and remained one of the strongest aspects of the show throughout its run.

Namik Paul, meanwhile, had a character with immense potential. Aryaman was introduced with considerable intrigue, but the writing never fully explored the depth promised in the early episodes. While Namik delivered a sincere performance, the character arc often felt incomplete.

Another major positive was the chemistry between Priyanka and Namik. Their pairing received appreciation from viewers, but the show surprisingly gave them very little romantic development compared to previous seasons of the franchise, leaving fans wanting more.

The season’s biggest drawback was its inconsistent writing. The revenge-driven opening episodes were engaging, well-paced, and effectively executed. However, as the story progressed, the narrative lost direction and struggled to offer compelling developments.

The much-talked-about Dragon versus Naagin concept generated excitement and brought something fresh to the franchise. Unfortunately, the idea was never explored to its fullest potential. Excessive reliance on AI-generated visuals and several noticeable CGI and green-screen glitches also attracted criticism online, becoming a frequent talking point among viewers.

Despite strong casting and a promising start that reflected in the ratings, Naagin 7 failed to sustain its early success. While it had moments of brilliance, the season falls short of the franchise’s strongest installments.

Gossips TV Rating: 2.9/5 stars.
