The episode starts with Pradeep telling Aarti that they will cut the cake since it’s her birthday. Aarti refuses to cut the cake. Ganesh asks her why. Aarti tells Ganesh that all she knows is that her father died today. She says she doesn’t know who her father is or which family she belongs to, and whenever she asks about him, no one tells her anything.
Ganesh urges Aarti to cut the cake, reminding her that she will be leaving after her marriage. He apologizes to her in his heart, thinking that if he tells her the truth, she might go to the Rajput family — and they might kill her. Aarti eventually agrees and cuts the cake. She then offers a piece to Anjali.
Laal calls Aarti and asks why she hasn’t reached the railway station yet. He tells her that her ticket to Uttar Pradesh has already been booked. Aarti agrees to go.
Ganesh asks Aarti where she is going. Aarti tells him that she’s going to expose a gang involved in women trafficking. Ganesh urges her not to get involved, warning that it could be dangerous. Aarti says nothing will happen to her and leaves.
Pankaj comes to meet Laal and informs him about a women trafficking racket, where women are misled into thinking they’re getting married but are later sold elsewhere. He says a girl from this office had covered the story and he wants to speak with her. Laal lies, saying she has gone out of town on an assignment. Pankaj asks Laal to inform her that ACP Pankaj had come to meet her. Pankaj then leaves.
Aarti later comes to meet Laal. Laal asks her why she’s here and whether she met ACP Pankaj, who was looking for her. Aarti says no. Laal hands her the train ticket and asks her to leave. Aarti agrees and departs. Afterward, Laal receives a call and learns that Uday Rajyavanshi and Pratap Rajyavanshi are behind the women trafficking ring.
Ved Rajyavanshi’s grandfather comes to Ved and tells him that his marriage has been fixed. Ved asks if he has to go through the charade of marriage again. His grandfather says yes. Ved pleads with him to stop this “business,” but the grandfather lashes out, saying no one in the district dares to speak back to him. He calls for Sonal and tells her to make Ved speak with his fiancée. Sonal agrees. The grandfather also accuses Ved of trying to whitewash his mother’s character, calling her a woman of poor morals. Ved shouts at him. The grandfather reminds Ved of what happened to his mother, saying that her head and body were found in different places — implying she was brutally killed — and mocks her.
Meanwhile, Aarti prepares to board the train. Sonal calls her and says her fiancé wants to speak with her. She hands the phone to Ved and asks him to talk to Aarti.
