The episode starts from the past when Woo Tak took Bu Yeon to find the ice stone. Jin Mu was also present with them. Its revealed that Nu Yeon was born for her mother and the fallen Choi family member which is the reason for being the best priestess. After Bu Yeon gets holds of the ice stone, Jin Mu threw her in water after taking it from her. An old lady rescued Bu Yeon who had no memories of the past and gave her the name Mu Deok.
Yul’s life is still in danger and So Yi uses the worm inside her body to perform the blood transfusion to save him. As the King reads the World of the Hearts, Master Songrim made him understand that it’s a love letter. Simultaneously, Jang Wook and Mu Deok’s romantic moment gets sealed by a kiss. Cho Yeon and Dang Gu witness Woo Tak visiting the Queen in his sister’s burnt body. The Queen pleaded with Woo Tak to let her die but Woo Tak told that for the sake of lantern she needs to stay alive. She assures to kill her once his sister should shifts in So Yi’s body. He blamed Jang Gang for all the mess.
It was revealed that it’s Ho Gyeong who actually asked Jang Gang to perform sorcery on the ice stone to bring back her dead daughter which is actually Bu Yeon. She went against the rules and opened the gates for the same. And that’s how Jinyowon lost the ice stone. Jang Gang met with Maid servant Kim in Songrim. Jang Wook wonders about figuring out the ice stone and comes to a conclusion. He also fugues out that he could lose all his energy in the process. Mu Deok was against it and she couldn’t witness Jang Wook sacrifice more and more but he has no other option to save Yul.
Cho Yeon and Dang Gu witnessed the truth about Woo Tak who couldn’t fight against his dsughter. Dang Gu updated about it to Park Jin who suggested to bring them there but Dang Gu was against it siting Cho Yeon. They had a private meeting at court where Park Jin asked King’s permission to present the Shaman Choi. Queen tried avoiding but King ordered him to take her in. Queen in Shaman’s body was taken in. Jin Mu and Shaman Choi panicked as the Queen reveals that Shaman Choi soul shifted their bodies. Shaman Choi refused the claims while Park Jin caught her lying about Gwigu.
After getting exposed, Shaman Choi threatened to destroy the Queen’s body. Park Jin threatened to harm her brother which comes as a shock for Ho Gyeong. Jin Mu asks her to surrender the soul ejector and run away with her brother. With Jin Mu also turning against them Shaman Choi blames each and everyone present there for being evil. Her brother kills himself to help his sister run away with the soul Ejectors. Mu Deok and Crown Prince were against Jang Wook performing the ritual but Jang Wook proceeded to do it. At the same time Shaman Choi also used the Soul Ejectors.
Jang Gang uses his body to stop the power. He projects it in his own body but starts running wild. He kneels in front of the King taking the soul responsibility for the mess and also reveals that Jang Woom is not his son. King ordered him to kill himself for whatever happened. Jang Gang kills himself turning into ashes. Jang Wook finds himself in a different tangent where he has the ice stone. He uses the power to create the King’s Star. As a result the barrier gets removed but everyone believed that it’s the Crown Prince who made the King’s Star. Both Jang Wook and Mu Deok lost their powers but they don’t feel bad for it unless and until they were together. Everything seemed settled for the moment.
After some days, Yul and Mu Deok came clean about their past where Mu Deok returned the whistle. The pair had a soft closure with respect and without regret. Dang Gu hands over Jang Gang’s things to Jang Wook who reminds of meeting him once. However it doesn’t bother him much now. The Queen is still in Shaman’s body and demands to punish Jang Wook too for her vengeance towards Jang Gang. However King doesn’t approve as he claimed that he’s not his son. Park Jin learnt the dark truth about Jang Wook’s birth and its revealed that he was son of King who slept with Do Hwa soul shifting. He decided to keep it in the dark.
Jin Mu who’s still Cheonbugwan meets with Crown Prince to help him save his life. In return he offers to get rid of the real King Star who could be his possible enemy for getting crowned. It seems that the Crown Prince started swaying to the demand as he pushed the right button. My Deon tried Cho Yeon’s wedding dress and Jang Wook witnessed it. He proposed Mu Deok for marriage which she accepted.
