By Anil Merani: A new Bigg Boss OTT3 Instagram reel is doing the rounds, which suggests that Armaan Malik was miffed at being the target of media ire regarding his two marriages in yesterday’s Bigg Boss OTT3 Press conference.
He rightfully questioned the media’s double standard regarding senior B-Town figures and their personal lives.
Many journalists crossed the line, firing personal questions at Armaan about his simultaneous marriages. They even went as far as to roast Kritika Malik for her personal choices. The media are carrying self-righteous dogma to the hilt.
I have to say that Armaan should have expected this hostile barrage for his Bigg Boss calling card itself socially unacceptable two marriages.

His situation further worsened when Payal claimed that he had not converted to Islam, thereby putting a legal question on the status of his second marriage to Kritika. Certain scribes should have asked Armaan to clarify his religious status.
Being pushed to the corner, Armaan defended his action, saying he kept both wives; this sounds anathema to the woke crowd.
Armaan’s situation could have been even more dire. If the media had chosen to delve into his rape case, the public’s perception of him could have been drastically different.
While I accept Armaan’s angst about silence on bigg Bollywood star’s multiple marriages, he must know that is how the power equation cookie crumbles. Bigg Boss is not about minding social niceties, and he has also not excelled in that department.
He must have been aware of the pitfalls of the territory, so he can’t cry foul now.
Armaan should take heart in the fact that public memory is fleeting. The current storm of controversy will eventually subside, and Armaan will emerge from it, perhaps even stronger than before.
