The episode starts with Anushka asking Shalu how dare she raise her hand against her. Shalu tells Anushka that she deserves it and warns her that if anything happens to Ayush, she will not spare her. Anushka taunts Shalu upon hearing this. Shalu, in return, comments on Anushka and says that she will never understand her relationship with Ayush. Anushka, in turn, declares that she will never let Shalu and Ayush be together. Shalu asserts that Anushka will not be able to break their bond. Anushka warns Shalu to break her ties with Ayush; otherwise, Ayush will have to pay the price. Shalu stands firm and says Anushka cannot do anything, adding that from now on, she will always be with Ayush.
Meanwhile, Rishi is driving with Malishka beside him, lost in thoughts about Ayush. Malishka tells Rishi that she doesn’t want him to stay with her if he doesn’t want to. She reminds him that he already knows how she feels about Lakshmi. Malishka asks Rishi to just be with her when she needs him, saying that the rest of the time, he is free to do as he pleases. Rishi then asks Lakshmi if they can go to the hospital, as he is worried about Ayush. Malishka agrees.
At the hospital, Lakshmi notices a pregnant woman feeling thirsty and offers her water. The woman, assuming Lakshmi is also pregnant, offers her a mango to eat. However, her husband clarifies that Lakshmi isn’t pregnant. The wife explains that she assumed so because Lakshmi also came to the hospital. The husband comments on it. Lakshmi takes a piece of mango and then leaves.
As Rishi walks through the hospital, he accidentally bumps into Lakshmi, causing her to trip. Rishi catches her before she falls. They both recall their first meeting and feel a spark between them before letting go of each other.
Meanwhile, Shalu runs into Malishka. Malishka asks Shalu what she is doing there and quickly makes up a reason for her presence. Shalu comments on Malishka’s behavior. Malishka retorts that Shalu doesn’t know who she is. Shalu replies that she knows exactly who Malishka is and adds that if Anushka’s incident hadn’t happened on Lohri, Malishka would have hurt Lakshmi. Shalu then walks away, leaving Malishka furious. Malishka decides she must teach Shalu a lesson and leaves.
Rishi then asks Lakshmi if she is planning to leave him. Lakshmi, surprised, asks why he is asking that. Rishi explains that he felt a spark between them, something he only experiences when they meet after a long time or when they are about to part ways for a long time. He repeats his question, asking if she is going to leave him. Lakshmi, confused by his words, asks how he can be like this and apologizes to him.
A nurse arrives and informs Rishi that they can take Ayush home. Rishi is overjoyed upon hearing that Ayush is safe. Shalu, who overhears their conversation, feels relieved and happily hugs Lakshmi. Lakshmi hopes that Shalu will always remain happy.
Later, Ayush returns home with his family, and the Oberois insist he should rest. Ayush tells Karishma that he is happy to see her love for him. Karishma affectionately tells Ayush that she loves him very much. Harleen joins them and sits beside Ayush to talk. Ayush thanks his family for their support. However, Harleen playfully slaps him for thanking his own family, reminding him that gratitude is unnecessary among loved ones.
As Shalu prepares to leave, Ayush asks her to stay back.
