The episode starts with Rishi coming to Lakshmi and asking her what happened. He tells Lakshmi not to cry and says he is with her. Lakshmi pushes Rishi away and cries to herself. Rishi asks Lakshmi again what happened. Lakshmi says she is feeling pain. Rishi tells her not to feel like that and assures her that he is with her. He promises Lakshmi that everything will be fine. Lakshmi says that everything will not be fine.
Shalu looks at Ayush. Ayush calls out to Shalu. She comes to him and sits beside him. Shalu holds Ayush’s hand and cries quietly. Ayush asks if she is alright. Shalu asks Ayush how she can be fine when he is in this situation. Ayush takes off his oxygen mask and tells Shalu that he has just gone through surgery and is not in a condition to take a scolding. Shalu says she isn’t scolding him.
Lakshmi tells Rishi that everything has ended. Rishi asks Lakshmi not to speak like that. He tells her that he will listen to what she has to say once they return home. Rishi asks Lakshmi to always remember one thing—that he will always be with her. He says no one can separate them. Lakshmi recalls Neelam’s words and thinks that for Shalu’s happiness, she needs to leave Rishi.
Ayush tells Shalu that he can handle any kind of pain, but he can’t handle seeing her in tears. Shalu hugs Ayush. Ayush tells Shalu that he isn’t going to die and asks her not to worry. Shalu tells Ayush never to speak like that. Ayush teases Shalu and asks her if she doesn’t want anything to happen to him. Shalu says she does not. Ayush then asks Shalu to marry him. Shalu stays silent.
Rishi sees Lakshmi both smiling and crying at the same time. He thinks that Lakshmi is crying happy tears and tells her to always be happy. He says he will go get medicine for Ayush and leaves.
Karishma asks Neelam why she allowed Shalu to meet Ayush. Neelam tells Karishma that it was the right thing to do. She explains that Ayush knows Shalu will be here and he also knows the Oberoi family will be here, but he still wanted to meet Shalu. Karishma says she doesn’t want Shalu anywhere near Ayush. Neelam says they can’t do anything more than that in this situation. Karishma asks Neelam since when she has started giving in to circumstances. Neelam leaves. Kiran asks Karishma why Neelam is behaving like this. Aanchal says that Neelam wants to do something, and she knows what it is.
Lakshmi thinks about her situation and realizes that for Shalu’s love to succeed, she has to sacrifice her own love.
Shalu tells Ayush that she will marry him. Ayush loses consciousness. Shalu asks the doctor to check on Ayush as he has lost consciousness again.
Shalu comes to Lakshmi and tells her that Ayush has lost consciousness once more. Shalu says she wasn’t able to tell Ayush how much she loves him. She tells Lakshmi that she won’t be able to live without Ayush. Shalu leaves.
Karishma, Kiran, and Aanchal approach Neelam and ask her why she allowed Shalu to meet Ayush. Neelam tells Karishma that she has already explained her reasons. Aanchal tells Neelam that they should keep Shalu away from Ayush, as being beside him in this situation will make their relationship even stronger. Neelam says she believes what she did was right and comments on it. She then leaves. Aanchal says she thinks Neelam is up to something. Kiran gets a call from Malishka and leaves to answer it.
Kiran attends Malishka’s call. Malishka asks Kiran to tell her what is going on there. Harleen enters and Malishka puts Kiran’s phone on hold. Malishka tells Harleen that she is stressed about Ayush and couldn’t stay at the hospital because of the smell, so she came here instead. Harleen advises Malishka to take care of herself and leaves.
Later, Malishka talks to Kiran. Kiran expresses her worries about Ayush and Shalu’s relationship, mentioning how Ayush chose to speak to Shalu first after regaining consciousness. Malishka says she doesn’t want to hear about Ayush and Shalu. She then asks Kiran to come up with a reason to send Rishi home so that he can take care of her. Kiran agrees.
