The episode starts with Kannamma saying to Bharathi that she can’t betray Soundarya. She asks him to marry Venba. Dhandapaandi says that she is younger than him. But he can fall on her feet to convince her. Kannamma asks him not to perform this emotional drama,and advise him to marry. Kannamma says that they are not able to live happily together, betraying their parents. Neither Soundarya likes their marriage nor Shanmugam. Bharathi takes a knife in his hand, threatening her that he will slit his hand if she doesn’t marry him.
Kannamma asks him not to threaten her. Madhu scolds Kannamma for being careless. Kannamma tries to leave. Bharathi slits his hand. Madhu and Dhandapaandi scold Bharathi and apply sacred ash on his wound to stop the bleeding. Kannamma comes there and says to him that everyone will badmouth her if she married a person who was engaged to someone else.
Madhu asks Kannamma if she doesn’t care about Bharathi? Will she be happy if he died? Dhandapaandi says that Bharathi loves her sincerely. Bharathi doesn’t have a life without Kannamma.
