The episode starts with Barathi consoling Anjali, who is emotional after hearing Venugobal’s voice. Barathi reminds Anjali that the next day is Soundarya’s birthday. Anjali says that Soudarya doesn’t celebrate her birthday as Venugobal isn’t with them. Barathi asks Anjali and Selvam to convince Soundarya to celebrate her birthday this year. Anjali and Selvam ask Barathi to accompany them. But Barathi refuses as Soundarya is already furious at him.
Anjali and Selvam go to Soundarya. Anjali requests Soudarya to permit them to celebrate her birthday, which is the next day, this year. Kannama is also there. So, she learns about Soundarya’s birthday. Soundarya asks Anjali why she’s talking about the useless topic and asks her to go and do her work. Selvam also requests Soundarya to accept to celebrate her birthday for the sake of her children, who wish to celebrate her birthday. Anjali pleads with Soundarya to agree. Soundarya shouts at them. She says that she doesn’t want to celebrate her birthday when her son is an alcohol addict. She strictly tells them not to talk to her about it again.
Kannama sees Barathi asking Anjali and Selvam what happened. Anjali blames Barathi for Soundarya refusing to celebrate her birthday. She leaves, getting upset with Barathi. Later, Kannama and Madhu ask Selvam why Soundarya stopped celebrating her birthday. Selvam says that Soundarya stopped to celebrate any function after Venugobal’s death. He tells them about Soundarya and Venugobal’s bonding and how Venugobal used to celebrate Soundarya’s birthday grandly. Selvam says that Soundarya should celebrate her birthday at least for the village people’s sake.
Kannama and Madhu find Barathi sitting alone. Kannama asks Dhandapandi about it. The latter says that Barathi keeps repeating the audio file of his dad’s speech. Kannama goes to Barathi and asks what he is doing here. Barathi says that he feels like his dad is with him whenever he hears this audio, so he is listening to it repeatedly. Kannama asks Barathi not to forget his mom, by always thinking about Venugobal. She advises Barathi to convince Soundarya to celebrate her birthday. Barathi asks what she wants him to do. She asks him to think about what he could do to make her happy.
Kannama asks Barathi to listen to the part of the audio in which he talks about his dream for his children and gives general advice to the students. Barathi obliges. Kannama says to Barathi that his dad doesn’t want him to drink. She asks Barathi to quit alcohol. She advises him to do the same. She asks Barathi not to drink if he loves his dad as much as he claims to love him. She asks Barathi to go home and convince Soundarya that he won’t drink hereafter. Barathi asks if Soundarya will agree to celebrate her birthday if he stops drinking. Kannama says that she thinks she will. Kannama says that Barathi should publicly declare that he won’t drink. Kannama and Madhu leave. Dhandapandi says to Barathi that Kannama gave her a brilliant idea and he should follow it. Barathi wonders how to make everyone know that he is going to quit alcohol. Dhandapandi tells him an idea. Barathi finds it a super idea.
Kannama urges her mom to eat by herself. Shanmugam asks Kannama why she is forcing her. She needs time to recover. Just then, the doctor arrives there. He says that he advised Kannama to do so. He checks Bagya and prescribes her some medicine. She then takes leave.
