The episode starts with Sharmila, Venba and Vijay planning to make Soundarya believe that they only have affection for her by wishing her on her birthday. But Soundarya refuses to celebrate her birthday. Sharmila lies that it was Soundarya’s brother’s plan to celebrate her plan. Soundarya’s brother receives a call from the local police station. Soundarya refuses to talk and asks his brother to ask the inspector what the matter is. He obliges. He is shocked to learn that Barathi is in the police station. He informs Soundarya that Barathi got arrested for creating a ruckus in a bar and destroying everything. Soundarya is disappointed to hear this. Her brother convinces her to go to the police station to bail out Barathi and leaves, taking her along with him. Sharmila and Venba are happy that Barathi got arrested.
Soundarya, her brother and Vijay arrive at the police station. Soundarya hesitates to enter the station. Her brother says to Soundarya that they have to save Barathi to save the family’s reputation. Her brother asks the inspector what happened. Soundarya says that they already knew what would happen. She says that either Barathi would fight, asking to open the bar early or asking not to close it. However, her brother asks the inspector to tell them what really happened.
The inspector says that Soundarya was wrong. Barathi didn’t fight after drinking alcohol, but he fought so that no one drank alcohol, which surprises Soundarya, her brother and Vijay. A FB of the same is shown. Barathi ans Dhandapandi enter a bar. BBarathi is surprised to see a lot of people in the bar. He advises them not to drink using a loud speaker. He tells them the disadvantages of consuming alcohol and pleads with them to quit it. He picks up a fight when they don’t listen. He destroys the bar so that no one from his village shouldn’t drink. The FB ends.
The inspector says to Soundarya and her brother that the bar owner wanted to take this matter to the higher officials, but he stopped him. He asks Soundarya to pay a sum as compensation to the bar owner and to those who got beaten by Barathi. He also asks Soundarya to write a letter saying that Barathi won’t repeat his act again in the future. Soundarya’s brother agrees.
Barathi gets released. Barathi holds Soundarya’s hand and assures her that he won’t drink hereafter, but she jerks his hand away. Barathi promises Soundarya to never drink again in his life and he decided to apply it from that day, which was her birthday, so he did that. However, Soundarya scolds Barathi for making everyone know that he is a drunkard and for making her come to the police station on the day of her birthday. Barathi assures her that he is telling the truth.
Soundarya asks Barathi how he suddenly changed when he never changed despite her pleads. Barathi says that he decided not to drink after listening to Venugobal’s audio. Soundarya refuses to believe Barathi as he already promised her not to drink and broke it. Soundarya says that Barathi can never quit alcohol as he is addicted to it. She says to her brother that she has come to save Barathi only to save their family reputation and not for him. She leaves. Vijay mocks Barathi, saying that he can’t quit alcohol. Barathi asks him to go away. Vijay leaves. Barathi is upset that he failed to convince Soundarya.
