By Gossips Tv : The hit Star Plus show Jhanak, starring Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja, is making headlines once again, this time for an upcoming 20-year leap in its storyline. Despite its strong launch, the show has struggled with falling TRPs and criticism over its regressive narrative, prompting makers to attempt a bold creative reset.
Earlier reports had hinted at a four-year leap, but sources now confirm that the makers have finalized a massive 20-year time jump. This leap is expected to refresh the storyline entirely, paving the way for new characters and plot twists.
However, the leap also signals major cast changes. Krushal Ahuja, who plays a lead role, will reportedly exit the show once the leap takes place. There were earlier speculations about replacing both Hiba and Krushal, but with the ongoing IPL season delaying viewership and programming decisions, both actors were retained—until now.
Actor Shiny Doshi was approached to step in as the new lead, replacing Hiba Nawab, but declined the offer. Actor Gaurav Sharma has already joined the cast, playing a key role in the current track.
With such sweeping changes, the makers of Jhanak are hoping to revive interest and win back audiences. Whether the gamble pays off remains to be seen.
