Actress Chae Seo An of “Hierarchy” fame may be joining the cast of MBC’s upcoming drama “Wife of a 21st Century Prince” starring IU and Byeon Woo Seok !
On June 12, Chae Seo An’s agency Blitzway Entertainment shared that the actress has received an offer to star in the upcoming MBC drama “Wife of a 21st Century Prince” and is positively reviewing the same.
“Wife of a 21st Century Prince” is a romance drama that tells the love story between Sung Hee Joo (IU), a chaebol heiress who despite having everything, is only a commoner in status and Grand Prince Yi Wan (Byeon Woo Seok) a melancholic royal prince who has nothing in spite of being the son of the king. The cast also includes Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung Yeon.
Chae Seo An is reportedly in talks to play the daughter of a noble family and the sister-in-law of Sung Hee Joo (IU).If the actress accepts the offer, it would be her second collaboration with IU following the recent Netflix hit drama “When Life Gives You Tangerines” where she played the younger version of Yeong Ran, the wife of Bu Sang Gil.
“Wife of a 21st Century Prince” is scheduled to air in the first half of 2026 as part of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama line-up. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming drama!
