Dharma pretends to not know anything and comes to call Yazhini and Kavin for the competition. Yazhini cries in pain. Dharma brings a doctor. The doctor checks and says that her leg may have fractured and advises them to take an X-ray first. He leaves. Dharma scars Yazhini saying that Mallika will take this matter as inauspicious if she gets to know about it and suggests asking Venba to participate in Yazhini’s place since she’s also her staff. He then says that Mallika would definitely get angry she learnt it, but they don’t have any other way. Yazhini doubts whether Venba will agree. Dharma tells that if Yazhini convinces Venba’s chithi, Venba will agree. Yazhini is confused with all the recent happenings and thinks that she will get a clarification after this competition.
Kavin takes Yazhini to Saradha. Yazhini tells Saradha that she can’t participate in the competition. Kavin explains Saradha that Yazhini fell down and the doctor told that she might have fractured her leg. Saradha gets worried for Yazhini. She tells Kavin to take Yazhini immediately to the hospital. Kavin tells that Yazhini refused to come. Yazhini requests Saradha to allow Venba to participate in her place with Kavin in the competition in order to save Kavin’s company’s reputation. She further says that Mallika will get very upset with her if she learns that they can’t win because of her. Saradha hesitates. Yazhini keeps trying to convince Saradha and asks her to agree for her sake. Venba interrupts and refuses. Kavin asks Venba to agree for his sake, but Venba still refuses. Now Yazhini pleads with Venba to accept. On seeing this, Saradha persuades Venba to participate in the competition. Venba goes to change her dress.
Kavin and Venba are called to the stage. Venba’s brothers and her sisters-in-law get shocked hearing Venba’s name and they look confused while Saradha Yazhini and Dharma happily clap for Kavin and Venba.
The judges ask Kavin and Venba if they’re ready for the competition. Venba says she’s not prepared. She wasn’t supposed to be part of the this competition. She has come along with her family to support her brothers and their wives, who are also the contestants of this competition. She wishes them to be the title winner. The judges get impressed with Venba’s straightforward answer and praise her.
The hosts explain the rules for the first round. The wife’s will cook a dish. The husbands should find the dish prepared by their wives with the blindfolded eyes. The one who will correctly identified his wife’s dish in between the given will be the winner of this round.
All the wires start preparing their dish. Nandhini struggles to cook since she doesn’t know cooking. The judges says times up. The wife’s leave the place so that their husbands come and check their dishes.
