You usually dont associate #Bigg Boss with stars who are on the upswing, Mostly out of circulation, actors wishing to make a comeback join Bigg Boss.
But off late, this trend is changing; last year, we had Jasmin Bhasin and Rubina Dialaik, and this year we have current Udaariyan fav Priyanka Chahar Choudhary Ankit Gupta along with Imlie fame Sumbul and Choti Sarrdaarni. lead Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia.
It makes sense for Colors to milk the brand value of the above actors in whom they have invested so much, courtesy of Udaariyaan and Choti Sarrdaarni. Priyanka and Ankit quit the latter show as it was taking a gen leap, and they did not want to play parents so early in their career Choti Sarrdaarni. has just ended.
In the case of Sumbul, Colors smartly enlisted her after she quit the Star Plus show Imlie for the same reasons as Priyanka and Ankit.
Now all four above actors have a chance to showcase their real side and come out of their character limitations in the audience’s minds.
They can try their hands at more glamorous web and cine characters with a new image.
However, this attempt has a flipside, for if they resort to playing the game, they might lose public support who think them to be the paragons of virtue.
On the other hand, Srijeeta De and Tina Datta had been missing in action for a while, so they could use Bigg Boss as a springboard to make a big splash comeback.
I will not be surprised if any or some of the above migth even be a part of the next Khatron Ke Khiladi season.
