Creating a safer internet: Taha Shah Badussha along with AU Corporate Advisory and Legal Services (AUCL) and WHT NOW Target join forces against Youth Exploitation

Mumbai, 19th November 2024: To further enhance their commitment towards tackling, the growing menace of cyberbullying and online exploitation amongst youth, AU Corporate Advisory and Legal Services (AUCL), a leading strategic advisory firm has partnered with WHT NOW, an NGO committed to creating a safer digital environment.

The collaboration aims to address pressing issues such as cyberbullying, harassment, and online sexual abuse (OSA) through awareness campaigns, legal support, and mental health initiatives.

Today at an event in Mumbai, AUCL, WHAT NOW and Aditya Group of Institutions joined hands to host a panel discussion featuring prominent thought leaders, influencers, and legal experts to discuss and find solutions to mitigate the challenges of cybercrimes, promote mental well-being, and establish a secure digital space for young individuals.

The panelists comprising of Mr. Akshat Khetan, Founder of AU Corporate and legal Advisory Services Limited (AUCL), Ms. Neeti Goel, Founder of WHT NOW, Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, an eminent educationist and Director of Youth Programs at the Heartfulness Institute and Pillai Group of Institutions and actor Taaha Shah Badusha, the campaign’s Brand Ambassador and a popular youth icon discussed issues pertaining to the rapid rise in internet penetration across India, escalating cybercrimes targeting youth impacting their mental health and safety.

Welcoming the initiative, Taaha Shah Badusha, the campaign’s brand Ambassador stressed the importance of legal help, especially in the entertainment industry, as the artists are immune in facing cyber threats and bullying and therefore there is an immense need to have strict laws against this menace.

In addition, today’ s youth are not aware whom to approach in such scenarios for legal help and therefore the association with AU Corporate and Legal Advisory Services Limited (AUCL) will play a critical role to resolve issues pertaining to cybercrimes.

This partnership will not only raise awareness about the impact of cyberbullying, but it will also provide clear pathways for victims to heal, report incidents, and seek justice.
