The episode starts with Shivaay coming to the shop. He asks Baldev what he is doing there. Baldev says that he is doing nothing and has written all the calculations in a book to help him. Baldev then leaves for home. Shivaay notices a piece of paper lying near the bags of pulses and picks it up.
Aadhya shares Shivaay’s shayari online. Sonam enters the room and asks Aadhya what she is doing. Aadhya lies and says that she is on a video call with her mother. Sonam says that the cooking oil has run out and asks her to go to the shop and buy some. Aadhya agrees, hides the shayari book in her bag, and leaves. Sonam becomes suspicious of Aadhya.
Pratima tells Suraj that the gas cylinder is empty. Suraj says that he and Baldev will arrange a new cylinder. Aadhya returns home with the cooking oil. Pratima tells her that the gas has run out. Just then, Baldev brings a gas cylinder home. He asks if the problem has been solved and announces that he will cook today. Sonam praises Baldev, calling him great and multi-talented. Pratima says that he is their guest and should not have to work. Baldev replies that they will soon be family, so they should stop treating him like a guest.
During a live session, Yash tells his fans that he is becoming a mechanic today for the sake of Aadhya’s love.
Meanwhile, Sonam calls Padma and says that Baldev is doing all the household work and is even preparing food for everyone. She asks Padma for a plan. Padma says that she is sending a packet and instructs Sonam to mix its contents into one of the dishes prepared by Baldev. Sonam agrees.
Later, Sonam praises Baldev for preparing so many dishes. Pratima agrees with her. Suraj says that the food is delicious. Khushi remarks that Baldev’s food tastes even better than their mother’s cooking. Aadhya asks him where he learned to cook. Baldev replies that he learned cooking so he could take care of his mother whenever she was ill. Pratima comments that he and Shivaay are very similar.
Sonam goes into the kitchen and mixes some powder into the buttermilk. Baldev sends Aadhya to bring the buttermilk. Aadhya catches Sonam red-handed and questions her about the powder. The two begin arguing. Baldev then asks Sonam to drink the spiked buttermilk. Sonam refuses. Suraj says that he will drink it instead, but Sonam quickly stops him. Pratima asks Sonam what she mixed into the buttermilk. Sonam claims that Aadhya is lying and falsely accusing her.
Baldev angrily throws away the vessel of buttermilk. He warns Suraj to tell his wife that Aadhya is his daughter and that if Sonam troubles her again, he will not spare them. Suraj then takes Sonam inside.
Pratima apologizes to Baldev for misunderstanding him.
Later, Suraj reminds Sonam of who Baldev really is and that Aadhya is his daughter. He asks Sonam what she had mixed into the chaas (buttermilk). Sonam tells him that she does not know exactly what was in the packet, but now Baldev will learn who Sonam really is.
Meanwhile, Baldev brings food for Shivaay while he is working at the perfume factory. Baldev asks Shivaay why he does not hire someone to help him. Shivaay reminds Baldev that he still needs to repay his debt. He says that once he clears the debt, he will hire someone. Baldev offers to help him and says that he also worked in the same perfume factory when he was Shivaay’s age. Hearing this, Shivaay agrees to let Baldev help him.
A little later, Shivaay steps away for a moment. Baldev attempts to mix something into the perfume, but then stops. When he sees Shivaay returning, he quickly says that he was only checking the fragrance and that it smells good before leaving. Shivaay becomes suspicious of Baldev.
The episode ends.
