The episode begins with Rajnandini asking the lawyer if someone can be included in the will just because they’ve been part of the family for a few days. Dadi tells Rajnandini to stop slandering Maan and Doree. Rajnandini replies that she won’t say anything further and lets the lawyer reveal the truth through the papers. Dadi asks Rajnandini what papers she is referring to. The lawyer tells Dadi that they are contract marriage documents.
Rajnandini explains that according to these papers, Maan and Doree are married only for six months, after which Doree will leave Maan. Dadi is shocked and questions Rajnandini about the truth of this claim. She then turns to Doree for an explanation. Maan tries to speak, but Dadi stops him and demands the truth from Doree. Doree remains silent. Rajnandini accuses Doree of marrying Maan for money.
Doree responds by saying she never married for money and has no interest in it. Rajnandini presses further, asking what deal Doree made with Maan. She then makes Doree swear on Dadi to tell the truth. Under pressure, Doree admits that the marriage is indeed a contract. Dadi feels betrayed and says Doree has broken her trust.
Dadi goes into her room and locks the door. Doree begs her to come out and talk, and then blames Maan for everything. She warns him that if anything happens to Dadi, she will never forgive him. Maan leaves.
Later, Maan returns with a bottle of poison and threatens to drink it unless Dadi comes out. He starts counting. Dadi eventually comes out and stops him.
Dadi asks why he did this. Maan says he never believed in marriage and only agreed because she forced him. That’s why he chose a contract marriage. When Dadi asks why he didn’t trust marriage, Maan says he has never seen a real relationship. He points out how Surinder never stood by Meera, how Rajnandini and Ambica maintain a fake mother-daughter bond for their own gain, and how Deep constantly tries to break off his relationship with Pushpa despite her love for him.
Maan continues, saying that now he believes in marriage—and the person who changed his view is Doree. He says Doree taught him how to be responsible in a relationship and that he loves her. Rajnandini accuses Maan of putting on a show after their contract marriage was exposed. But Maan tells Dadi that he will now marry Doree for real and give their relationship a name.
Meanwhile, Ganga arrives at her house in the weavers’ market and finds the door locked. A neighbor tells her that Doree is at the Thakur mansion.
Maan proposes to Doree. Doree believes Maan is doing this to protect Dadi and agrees to the marriage. Maan and Doree take the phere as the pandit chants the mantras. Maan then applies sindoor to Doree’s hairline. Ganga witnesses the ceremony.
