Episode 40 of The 50, now streaming on JioHotstar and airing on Colors, wasted no time picking up from where Episode 39 left off and it delivered on every front. From the Silent Killer finally getting its answer to a chaotic Lion Crazy Game that had the house laughing one minute and losing money the next, a high-stakes bomb diffusal that went badly wrong, and an emotional farewell that had the entire house in tears, this episode had it all. By the end of the night, the game looked very different and not just because of who walked out.
The Snake is Revealed
The Silent Killer game from the previous episode finally gets its answer. With 3 votes each pointed at Manisha Rani and Urvashi Dholakia, both are made to open their cards, and Manisha is exposed as the Snake. She gets the exit order, and just like that, one of the game’s sharpest players is out. The house had been circling her for rounds, and she nearly pulled it off.
With Manisha gone, 24 players remain, and the money pot stands at ₹29,74,000.
Lion Crazy Game: Puzzles, Bulls & Bruised Egos
The next day, the Lion picks 4 team leaders and asks each of them to choose 2 players to complete a trio. The teams are Archana Gautam with Mr. Faisu and Lovekesh Kataria, Shiv Thakare with Prince Narula and Arushi Chawla, Riddhi Dogra with Siwet Tomar and Hamid Barkzi, and Kaka with Vikrant Singh and Vanshaj Singh.
The game has four puzzle tiers worth ₹25,000, ₹50,000, ₹75,000 and ₹1,25,000. Solve it and the money goes into the pot; fail, and it gets deducted. The catch: one person from the team has to stay on a mechanical bull while the other two solve. Every time they fall off, everyone has to freeze.
Archana’s team goes for the ₹75,000 puzzle with Archana on the bull. She keeps falling off, and the team can’t complete it, so ₹75,000 ends up being deducted instead.
Kaka’s team swings for the biggest prize, ₹1,25,000, with Kaka on the bull. They don’t complete it either, another painful deduction.
Shiv’s team picks the ₹25,000 puzzle, and the whole house is already laughing before it even begins. Siwet jokes that it’s the first time he actually felt bad for a bull, then clarifies it’s because Shiv was on it. Shiv keeps falling off to everyone’s amusement, but somehow the team gets it done and wins the ₹25,000.
For Riddhi’s team, the Lion makes a last-minute call, and Siwet sits on the bull instead of Riddhi. Archana isn’t happy about it, muttering that Riddhi is such a big actor, so of course they won’t put her on the bull. Riddhi sulks. The team wins ₹50,000, and Siwet, face-planted after a fall, quips that this is nothing compared to the way Riddhi spins him around anyway.
The Bomb Diffusal Game: Shrutika vs the Fox
The next day brings a new Lion Crazy Game. The Fox comes down and, after a playful moment with Prince, who jokes that he already has his own fox pointing at Yuvika sitting on his lap, then asks the Fox if his fox isn’t beautiful, the Fox picks Shrutika Arjun.
The game is a memory and nerve challenge. Shrutika has to defuse a bomb by cutting wires in the correct colour sequence, going up against the Fox doing the same. 3 wrong cuts and it’s game over. If Shrutika wins, she takes ₹1 lakh. If the Fox wins, the money pot gets cut in half.
There are 12 wires total. Shrutika gets the sequence shown to her and does the first 4 correctly, then admits she only memorised the first row. The Lion gives her another chance, flashes the sequence again. She gets the next 3 right but blanks on the 8th wire and loses her chance. The Fox wins, the money pot is halved, dropping to ₹14,12,000 from ₹28,24,000. The bomb goes off beside her, covering her hands and dress in black ash.
Shrutika breaks down in tears. Most of the house rallies around her, and Prince speaks up, saying how anyone is supposed to memorise a sequence in 5 seconds, it wasn’t a fair ask.
Rajat’s Next Move
Away from the emotion, Rajat sits with Lovekesh, Faisu and the rest of his alliance to think ahead. The names they’re eyeing to remove next: Natalia and Digvijay.
Sapna’s Exit: The Whole House Walks Her Out
Sapna Chaudhary had gone to see a doctor after her foot injury, and the Lion calls her into the den with difficult news: the doctors have declared her unfit to continue playing. The Lion offers her a choice of three players who had previously received exit orders to come back and play in her place, with Nikki Tamboli, Sidharth Bhardwaj, and Manisha Rani among the options.
Sapna takes it with complete grace. She says she’s proud of how far she came, and that she’s leaving with her respect and dignity intact, not because she was voted out, but because of her injury. Divya says it perfectly: no one was ever going to vote Sapna out anyway.
Urvashi Dholakia and Krishna Shroff cry. The whole house gets emotional. And when Sapna walks out, she notes that most contestants get 2 or 3 people to see them off, but she got the entire house.
