#Exclusive| As an artist, I like to serve my medium.- Hitesh Bharadwaj

By Anil Merani| After playing Ekam for eight months in the Colors show Udaariyaan, Hitesh Bharadwaj is very comfortable in the character’s skin. “I am Ekam and Ekam is me.”

“What I like best about the character is the Punjabi touch. The show is authentic and connects with the Punjabi masses after Choti Sarrdaarni(he had played lead opposite Nimrit Kaur)

Off-screen Hitesh is having a blast with all the co-stars, i.e. Twinkle Arora, “I enjoy the most with Esha Malviya. Since she is a kid; hanging out with her brings back my youngster days. Usually, I am a serious guy, but with her, I change.”

“I regard co-producer Shaman Jain like my brother recently; he had gone out of town, so I went to his place and had dinner with his mom.”

Looking ahead, he would want to play real-life biopics. “I would also like to essay a boxer or a wrestler. As an artist, I like to serve my medium by doing different types of characters”, says Hitesh has done shows like Agar Tum Saath Ho,  Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain.

He did not throw light on what might happen next in the show. “The character won’t change, but we will have significant twists and turns. What is life or a tv show without them? “

He is pleased to get positive vibes from social media. “All love my character.”

“We all work hard and sometimes change the story or setting; if it rains, we will have a rain scene or go to the field and shoot there “

Has a big show changed your career ball game? “I can only comment on this once Udaariyaan wraps up, but yes, my confidence level and people approach has changed for the better. “
