By Gossips TV: Star Plus’ hit show Jhanak is set to witness a major turning point with the upcoming generation leap. While the promo featuring Arjit Taneja as Rishi and Riya Sharma as the new Jhanak has already stirred excitement among fans, the casting shuffle continues to grab attention.
As per our exclusive update, Anupamaa actress Ashlesha Savant has been finalized to play the role of elder Arshi, replacing Chandni Sharma. Unlike the righteous and mature elder Jhanak, portrayed by Parvati Sehgal (who replaces Hiba Nawab), Ashlesha’s character will carry a negative shade and is expected to stir fresh drama post-leap.
Interestingly, elder Arshi is also the wife of Anirudh (Krushal Ahuja) and the mother of Moon, who will be played by Twinkle Arora. Ashlesha’s character is likely to have a complex and antagonistic presence in the narrative, especially in contrast to the positive and emotionally grounded elder Jhanak.
The current chapter featuring Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja will conclude this weekend, with the new generation storyline beginning next week.
