By Anil Merani| Political commentator Tehseen Poonawalla, one of the early evictees of Alt Balaji show, Lock Upp, has spoken about the unfortunate la Chetan Hansraj affair. The latter TV actor was caught on live feed spewing abuses and lousy language against the team doctor and the show makers.
He also allegedly made a casteist slur subsequently beeped out from the main episode.
The Kangana Ranaut lead show had no alternative but to eject him from the show.
Tehseen , who is vocal about social issues, said,” Although Chetan, a highly respected actor, had apologized for his actions (remarks against the maker’s, and casteist slurs), it was unacceptable, leaving Alt Balaji no choice but to evict him from the show.”
Further, we asked Tehseen whether Karanvir Bohra’s surprise eviction could be an attempt to wipe by the maker’s to wipe thier hands clean of the entire Chetan fiasco, given that KV had also waded into the matter with his compounder quip?
“Yes. KV should have not have been eliminated, as he was carrying the show on his shoulders. However, since KV also crossed the line, I was not surprised by his eviction. The show is changing from its original premise”.
