#Exclusive: I feel sorry for Pakhi ‘s actions toward Anupamaa- Muskan Bamne

Muskan Bamne is having a good time playing Pakhi in the superhit Star Plus series Anupamaa;” She is a spoilt child always having her way being the youngest in the family.”

Going on, Muskan says,” Although Sweety (character nickname) loves her mom Anupamaa( Rupali Ganguly), for the moment, she is a bit miffed at her for she feels left out( Failing to understand that there is too much on her mom’s plate ). So she bands more with her stepmom Bestie, aka Kavya(Madalsa Sharma). In her childlike thinking, she feels that if the latter wins, it will hurt her mom.”

” Bestie uses Pakhi as a pawn, but she can’t see through her game plan due to a lack of maturity and ego. Being a good girl in life, I feel sorry for whatever stunts my character pulls with her mother,” added she.

How do you bring out the meanness required by the character, “I employ anger and hurt to psyche myself! Here I am thankful to Rupali and Sudhanshu Pandey (on-screen father) for doing their bit to get the writers thoughts out on screen. Even Madalsaji  is very sweet. All the cast love me like their own kid.” says she

What do you like best about this role?

” Apart from playing with varied emotions as a human being, I am also learning how rude and low can some girls get with their mothers and families. Pakhi has pulled many stunts like running away from home, so get a lot to build-up to work on .”

Muskan, who has been around for years, starting as a child artist, says, “Anupamaa has changed the ballgame for her. Today everyone knows that Muskan is playing Pakhi in this Rajan Shahi production ” Her other known outings include Haseena Parkar and Helicopter Eela.

Any chance that your character might have a change of heart?

” Well, you never know she might again support her mom in the ongoing school dance competition.”(Anupamaa has also taken to performing arts)

Can your character have a love equation?

“No, she is still in school that might as the character grows with time.”

Looking ahead, Muskan would also want to try her hands at both films and  web, “but the latter’s bold quotient would surely be a big dampener.” [Interview taken by- Anil Merani]
