Since its inception, the actress has been an integral part of the series, sharing screen space with leads Rohit Suchanti and Aishwarya Khare.
Known for her powerful performance as Malishka, a character audiences loved despite its grey shades, Maera recently revealed her decision to exit. In an emotional statement, she expressed her deep connection with the cast and crew, saying, I have done Bhagya Lakshmi for almost 3.5 years, and everyone here feels like family. Leaving them feels like my first Bidaai.
According to reports, her final appearance will be during the Lohri sequence. While the search for a new Malishka is ongoing, no replacement has been finalized yet. Maera admitted the transition has been overwhelming, stating, I never imagined leaving the show. When the reality set in, I was shattered and cried a lot.
Maera will miss her co-stars but hinted at exciting new opportunities ahead. Additionally, the actress is gearing up for a personal milestone—she is set to marry Rahul Yadav in February 2025. Fans will undoubtedly miss her but wish her the best.
