By Gossips Tv : Zee TV’s long-running show Kumkum Bhagya is set for a major revamp with a generational leap, marking the exit of current leads Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma. The show, which has been under the scanner due to declining TRPs, was initially planned for a short leap. However, the makers have now decided on a complete overhaul, introducing a fresh cast and a brand-new storyline.
According to reports, Durga actress Pranali Rathod and Rabb Se Hai Dua star Dheeraj Dhoopar are the frontrunners to play the new leads. However, nothing is finalized yet, and other actors, including Kundali Bhagya’s Paras Kalnawat and Anupamaa actor Adhik Mehta, are also in contention.
Meanwhile, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor Vijhay Badlaani has reportedly been roped in as the male lead’s father, while Sanjivani actress Gurdeep Punjj is set to play his mother.
Since its launch in 2014, Kumkum Bhagya has seen multiple successful leaps, with its original leads, Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha, leaving a lasting impact as Abhi and Pragya. Their on-screen chemistry made the show a household favorite. Post their exit, Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul took over, carrying forward the legacy.
