By Gossips Tv : SVF Productions’ much-anticipated horror show Aami Daakini, starring Rohit Chandel, has been postponed and will now launch only after IPL 2025 concludes. The series, which also features Sheendaas in the role of Daakini and reportedly Trina Saha as the female lead, was initially slated to premiere in February 2025. However, an official confirmation regarding Trina’s casting is still awaited.
According to sources, the makers had already begun shooting in Kolkata and completed a month-long schedule before production was halted. The decision to delay the show was taken by the channel, as major television networks prefer to launch big-budget fiction shows post-IPL, when audience engagement is expected to be higher. The teaser of Aami Daakini was released in January 2025, generating significant buzz among viewers.
Sony TV is also planning a grand lineup of shows post-IPL 2025. Apart from Aami Daakini, the channel is set to launch Ekta Kapoor’s Bade Acche Lagte Hain Phir Se, along with mythological dramas Shirdi Wale Sai Baba and Kartikeya Ganesh. Prithviraj Chauhan as well. Additionally, two more fictional shows are in discussion, hinting at an exciting phase for television audiences after the cricketing season.
