By Gossips TV: Star Plus is all set to revive television’s most iconic daily soap, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, with a much-anticipated reboot. The legendary show that redefined Indian family dramas is returning with a fresh generation story — while retaining its original roots.
As per exclusive sources, popular actors Rohit Suchanti and Shagun Sharma have been finalized to play the new generation leads. Rohit will portray Angad, Tulsi’s eldest son, while Shagun will be seen essaying the role of Vrinda — a strong, layered character who will be the new-age female lead alongside Tulsi.
The reboot will bring back Smriti Irani as Tulsi and Amar Upadhyay as Mihir, reprising their legendary roles. Tulsi is now a mother of three — Angad, Hritik, and Pari. The heart of the story will focus on Angad and Vrinda’s evolving relationship, adding modern complexities while preserving the essence of tradition and family values.
Both Rohit Suchanti and Shagun Sharma worked before with Ekta Kapoor. Rohit Suchanti currently seen in Bhagya Lakshmi which is set to wrap up very soon. Shagun was last seen in in Yeh Hai Chahatein. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Reboot set to premiere on its original time 3rd July 10:30PM slot.
