EXCLUSIVE : Sony TV SCRAPS Zakhir Khan’s talk show due to poor response!

By Gossips Tv : Sony TV has reportedly pulled the plug on Zakir Khan’s much-anticipated talk show just weeks after its launch. Despite the channel’s high hopes and Zakir’s immense popularity as a stand-up comedian, the show failed to deliver, struggling to even cross a 0.7 TVR—well below Sony’s minimum expectations.

As we EXCLUSIVELY REPORTED that channel is planning to revamp itself by October. Insiders reveal that the channel was banking on the show to rival the success of its flagship programs like The Kapil Sharma Show. However, the reality has been starkly different, with viewers failing to connect with the format. The show’s underwhelming performance has led Sony to take drastic measures, scrapping the project altogether.

Rumor has it that 6-8 episodes are still in the bank, though it remains unclear if they will ever see the light of day. This sudden cancellation comes amidst Sony’s larger strategy to revamp its content lineup, as seen with the recent axing of Jubilee Talkies.

Zakir Khan, along with the production team, is reportedly disheartened by the decision. Despite their pleas to rectify the situation, it appears Sony TV has already made up its mind, marking a controversial chapter in the network’s programming decisions.
