By Gossips TV : Star Plus’ recently launched show Taara, starring Krushal Ahuja and Kanika Kapur, continues to face scrutiny due to its underwhelming performance on the TRP charts. Gossips TV had earlier reported that the channel had issued a notice to the makers, urging them to take immediate steps to improve the ratings. Now, in a major creative shift, the team has decided to introduce a 3-year time leap in an attempt to revive audience interest.
The decision comes quite early in the show’s run, making it an unusual move for a fresh daily soap. However, with numbers not picking up as expected, the makers seem keen to fast-track the narrative and bring in new twists.
As per the ongoing storyline, Yuvraj will be seen leaving the country to pursue higher studies abroad, creating a temporary separation between the lead pair. On the other hand, Taara will step into a new phase of her life, focusing on her college journey and personal growth. The leap is expected to redefine their individual paths before bringing them face-to-face once again.
It remains to be seen how their reunion will unfold post-leap and whether the twist manages to strike a chord with viewers. The show has struggled to connect so far, with many pointing out its familiar rich-boy, poor-girl trope, drawing comparisons to other similar narratives.
