The episode begins with Teju thinking about Rithu Raj’s words. Neil approaches her and gives her a gift. She happily opens it and finds a saree inside. She asks if it’s for her, and Neil confirms. Teju then asks when he bought it. Neil replies that Nandini told him she was doing the Vat Savitri pooja, so he got it for her. Teju says that since he bought it on Nandini’s suggestion, it’s more like a gift from Nandini. Neil asks her to try it on, but Teju refuses and continues studying. She thinks to herself that she can’t let Neil go to Konkan—what if the lion comes to him?
Neil comes out after changing clothes and looks for something to clean his spectacles. Teju gives him a kerchief, and he wipes them. Then, she takes the saree and uses it to clean his spectacles before helping him wear them. Neil smiles. Teju continues thinking about how to stop him from going on the Konkan trip.
The next day, Neil seeks blessings from everyone before leaving. The family gives him safety suggestions. Meanwhile, Teju, desperate to stop him, hides his car keys. Neil announces he’s leaving but notices the keys are missing from the table. He goes to his room to search and finds them on the saree box he had gifted Teju. He wonders if Teju placed them there and looks around for her.
Teju comes out wearing the saree Neil gave her. Neil smiles seeing her. He tells her that he found the keys in the saree box and asks if she put them there. She denies it, saying maybe he did it by mistake. Neil agrees it could be his mistake and thanks her for wearing the saree. He compliments how good it looks. Teju teases him. He says he’s leaving and exits the house. Teju feels sad. Neil returns briefly to ask her to at least say goodbye. He adds that the room is all hers now. Teju turns away and starts crying. Neil leaves.
That night, Teju misses Neil. She tries calling him, but the call doesn’t go through due to network issues. Later, she wakes up and hears a voice note from Neil. In it, he says he has reached the camp and is going to an area with poor network coverage. He also wishes her well for her Vat Savitri fast. Teju thinks he could’ve called her instead. She then gets ready for the pooja, thinking about her moments with Neil. She tells Neil’s photo that she’s observing the fast for him, accepting him as her husband. She says she misses him and wishes he were with her. She prays to the idols of Shiv and Parvati, declaring Neil as her husband. She plans to tell the family about it after breaking her fast in the evening.
A neighbor asks Leena if Teju isn’t doing the vrat. Leena says Teju doesn’t believe in such rituals. Teju arrives and says she is observing the fast with full devotion. The women praise her, saying she’s like Savitri because she saved her husband’s life. Nandini compliments Teju for dressing beautifully like a bride. Teju performs the pooja. Leena mocks her, but Teju prays that Neil stays safe and no danger comes to him. Rithu Raj watches everything and thinks that although Teju has accepted Neil as her husband, he won’t let them be happy and will separate them.
During the pooja, Teju’s thread breaks. She quickly ties it back and continues. One of the ladies explains the significance of the vrat and how Savitri saved her husband from Yamraj, becoming a symbol for married women.
Later, everyone breaks their fast. Teju misses Neil deeply. Prachi and Manjari suggest video-calling Neil so that Teju can break her fast. They try calling him, but his phone is unreachable. Leena says she had warned them earlier, but Teju didn’t listen. Teju refuses to break her fast without speaking to Neil. Leena warns that not breaking the fast is also inauspicious. Vinod urges her to think positively.
Teju goes to her room and imagines Neil breaking her fast. She snaps out of her imagination when she hears Nandini’s voice. Nandini and Prachi ask her to eat, but Teju refuses. They leave food near her and walk away. Teju cries, missing Neil. On the other hand, Neil thinks about Teju and hopes she’ll be fine without him.
Later, Teju has a nightmare where Neil meets with an accident. She screams Neil name. Rithu Raj, Nandini and Alok enter her room. Teju begs them to call Neil. Rithu accuses her of acting and says she has someone else in her heart. Nandini also questions whether Teju is having an affair. Nandini and her husband get upset and leave the room.
