The episode begins with Neil telling Savi that his memory loss has given him a chance to relive their moments together. He makes her wear the black-beaded mangalsutra. Neil then asks her about the day he got shot. He recalls hearing her scream Sai’s name, followed by the sound of gunfire. He says he’s been trying to remember what exactly happened but can’t, and urges Savi to tell him the truth.
Savi grows tense remembering that day. Neil notices her silence and asks if she knows what happened. Savi responds that she was trying to catch a criminal, who then held Sai hostage. Neil tried to save Sai and was shot in the process. Neil hugs her and says he feels proud of her. He admits he had forgotten the dangers involved in her duty. He then asks her to promise that she will come back home safely every day. Though he doesn’t remember their past, he wants to build a beautiful future with her. Savi promises. She adds that she doesn’t want to be late on her first day and leaves. Neil agrees.
Later, Sai returns from school and is delighted to see the decorations Neil has arranged for a pizza-and-movie night. Neil excitedly tells her they should enjoy some pizza before Savi returns. Sai agrees and changes into casual clothes. While eating, Sai suddenly complains of difficulty breathing. At that moment, Savi arrives and quickly asks Neil if the pizza contains olives. Neil says yes. Savi, shocked, informs him that Sai is allergic to olives. She gets angry at Neil for not consulting her before giving Sai food and prepares to take Sai to the hospital. Neil quickly gives Sai anti-allergy medicine and feels guilty for forgetting her condition. He leaves the room, disheartened. Leena witnesses the incident.
The next day, Savi receives a legal notice from Bhagyashree seeking custody of Sai and Kian. The letter claims that Savi’s new family is unaware of the children’s medical conditions and therefore, custody should be given to Bhagyashree. Savi realizes that the allergy incident was just yesterday and is already mentioned in the notice. She concludes that someone from the house must be helping Bhagyashree.
Before leaving for duty, Neil asks Savi to return home early. He excitedly tells her that he has booked a table at a fancy restaurant for a special date and wants her to dress in something he likes. Though hesitant, Savi eventually agrees. Later, she returns home and begins getting ready. Neil calls out, asking her to come quickly. Savi descends the stairs wearing a saree. Neil looks at her lovingly and regrets forgetting their past. Leena sees them and remembers Bhagyashree’s warning that Savi will ruin Neil the same way she ruined Rajat.
Neil tells Savi he is glad he lost his memory as it’s allowing him to fall in love with her again. He kisses her hand. Savi wonders how to stop Neil and handle the situation. Just then, Sai arrives. Savi says Sai insisted on joining them after seeing her get ready. Neil agrees, saying the date location is actually a newly inaugurated place. When Savi asks where they’re going, Neil surprises her by revealing that he has arranged a romantic dinner at home, considering she might be tired after work. He shows them the beautifully decorated area.
Sai excitedly says it looks even better than a restaurant. A musician plays guitar as Neil tells Savi he learned all her favourites from Sai. Sai adds that her mom loves Chinese food and puran poli. Hearing the name “puran poli” makes Savi emotional as she remembers Rajat.
Sai excuses herself to use the washroom. Neil encourages Savi to taste the food and tries to tuck her hair behind her ear, but she adjusts it herself. He asks if something is wrong and says he feels she is ignoring him. He also asks why she involved Sai in their date. Then, he cautiously asks if something had happened between them before he got shot. Savi replies that nothing of the sort happened — she included Sai in the dinner because she hasn’t been able to spend much time with her due to work.
Neil accepts her explanation and says he’ll stay positive. He tries to feed her, but Savi suggests waiting for Sai. Neil agrees and asks where they first met, assuming it must be a romantic memory. Savi silently recalls their first meeting at a police station, both grieving the loss of their loved ones.

Precap: Neil surprises Savi on her birthday, makes her wear a black-beaded chain, and tells her that he will make her feel loved every day. He leans in to kiss her forehead in front of the family. Savi stops him and says, “I’m not your wife, and the kids are not yours — so stop doing this.” Neil is left stunned.
