Sony Sab is gearing up to launch Yaadein on April 6 at 8 PM, and the show already looks promising with its emotional and thought-provoking storyline. Inspired by the Italian drama DOC, the series dives into themes of memory, identity and the fragile nature of relationships.
The story revolves around Dr. Dev, played by Iqbal Khan, a successful doctor whose life takes a drastic turn after an accident. He loses the memory of the last eight years of his life, leaving him disconnected from major events, including the breakdown of his marriage. As Dev tries to rebuild his life, he is forced to face a past he cannot remember but must still live with.

Opposite him is Gulki Joshi as Dr. Srishti, his former wife. Though the two are divorced, Srishti becomes an important presence in Dev’s life again. Unlike Dev, she carries the full weight of their past, especially the tragic loss of their son, Dhruv, and the pain of what went wrong between them.
Gulki Joshi, who was widely loved as Inspector Haseena Mallik, seems to have already caught viewers’ attention with the promos. From her screen presence to her emotional depth, she appears to bring sincerity to Srishti’s character.

The pairing of Gulki Joshi and Iqbal Khan is fresh, and while both are strong performers individually, it will be interesting to see how their chemistry unfolds on screen. The narrative may also introduce another layer with a possible third angle involving Vaani, adding more complexity to the story.
With its mix of emotional storytelling and character-driven drama, Yaadein aims to offer something slightly different from routine television narratives. Whether it connects deeply with audiences will become clear once the story begins to unfold.
