Shriya Jha, who has been shown in shows like Uttaran, do dil bandhi ek dori se, and many more, will soon be seen opposite Eijaz Khan and alongside Divyanka Tripathi in her next web series titled Adrishyam.
1. How is it working with Eijaz Khan and your working rapport?
Its amazing working with Eijaz because he has gone out of his way to make me feel comfortable from day one, and that translates well on screen, which is very important when youre playing a couple on screen and almost like high school sweethearts. So a lot of our work happens very naturally and spontaneously.
2. How close are you to this show’s character?
I sometimes feel like my character on screen is totally me. Initially, I would write my own character sketch and think about how the character would take shape, but once we started shooting, I guess it was just more and more like me. But everything said and done, I give all the credit for shaping and molding this character to Anshuman Sir,our director, because he makes sure we are 100 percent real and honest in our performances. No cheating, no acting, and that really brings out very real and relatable characters.
3. What next for Shriya?
I hope to do more interesting and meaningful, creatively satisfying work. Adrishyam is my first web show, and I hope to do anything, be it TV films, web films, or short films, as long as it challenges and satisfies me as an actor.
4. Is there any reality show you would love to be a part of ?
I’m too much of an introvert to be comfortable with reality shows! But they do say never say never, so one never really knows. As of now, these are my thoughts.
