The recent episode has sparked a major debate across social media, leaving long-time fans disappointed with the portrayal of Tulsi (Smriti Irani) and Mihir (Amar Upadhyay).
In the episode, Paridhi (Shagun Sharma) accuses Tulsi in front of Mihir, despite earlier confessing her lies to Tulsi about plotting against Ajay’s family to break off her marriage. When Tulsi bravely confronts her in front of Mihir, Paridhi flips the narrative, blaming Tulsi for everything. Shockingly, Mihir chooses to side with Paridhi without a moment’s hesitation. In a fit of anger, Mihir even pushes Tulsi and almost slaps her in front of the entire Virani family.
What left viewers even more upset was Tulsi’s silence. Instead of defending herself, she quietly stopped Mihir from leaving the house, showing unconditional submission. This has not gone down well with the audience who once admired Tulsi and Mihir’s bond as the epitome of trust and love.
On Twitter and Instagram, netizens lashed out at the makers, accusing them of reducing Tulsi into another ‘sacrificing doormat’ and painting Mihir as an oppressive husband. Many also pointed out that Mihir’s growing closeness with Noina (Barkha Gupta) further tarnishes his once ‘ideal husband’ image.
