The episode begins with Dadabhai calling Jhanak and asking her to give him his snuffbox. Jhanak refuses to give it to him and tells him that’s not good for health. Dadabhai tells her not to be oversmart and give it to him. Jhanak tells him that she will give it to him if Doctor Surjeet tells her to give it to him. She says Surjeet said snuff is not good for the heart, and even Tanushri agreed to it. Surjeet and Tanushri wonder when they talked about that. Indumati says snuff is not good for health. Dadabhai tells Jhanak that she can’t tolerate his wrath, so she should give his snuffbox to him.
Jhanak tells him that she is not even scared of Rishi, so why would sheget scared of the latter? She asks him not to glare at her. She asks what children will learn from Dadabhai if he used snuff then. She says Dadabhai is elder, and he should be an example to others, and he should take care of himself. Dadabhai asks her to give him instead of troubling him. Jhanak says she will give the snuffbox to Dadabhai, but she has a condition.
Dadabhai says no one talked to him like this till now. He agrees. Jhanak takes the cigarette and says she will smoke it. Indumati asks Jhanak from where the latter got this. Kaju says this is her father’s cigarette. Everyone gets shocked hearing this. Jhanak says if elders are using snuff and cigarettes, then children can use them too. Tanushri tells Jhanak not to smoke. Dadabhai throws the snuffbox away and decides to never use snuff again. Jhanak appreciates Dadabhai. She tells him that she will bring tea for him and goes inside.
In the village, Parashar tells Prakash that the latter can do everything except cooking. Sakhi comes there and says the smell is good. Parashar asks her why she came there. Sakhi tells him she wants to talk to him alone. She sends Prakash from there. She asks Parasharwhen he will stop hurting Nutan. She says Nutan respects Parashar so much. She adds, Parashar loves Nutan, but he doesn’t understand her pain. Parashar tells her that he will convince Nutan. Sakhi leaves from there.
Jhanak gives tea to Rishi’s family members. Indumati asks whether Jhanak made tea. Jhanak replies, Putul made this. She gives tea to Dadabhai in a big glass.
Indumati reveals they hired a cook already. Dadabhai says the cook is really talented and doesn’t talk unnecessarily. He asks Abhimanyu to bring the cook as soon as possible. Indumati tells Dadabhai to take the cook with him to the market. Jhanak gets sad hearing this. She asks whether she won’t have work to do. Dadabhai says the cook will be mature and give respect to him. Jhanak runs inside. Dadabhai says it was fun. Abhimanyu says they went overboard. Tanushri says she thinks Jhanak did not understand their joke.
Jhanak returns with the snuffbox and throws it near Dadabhai. Indumati scolds Jhanak for disrespecting Dadabhai like this. Jhanak cries. Tanushri tells Jhanak that they are just saying the latter did wrong. Jhanak says she forced Dadabhai to quit snuff because she was worried about his health, but he hired a cook. She adds she thought she was part of the family, but she was wrong.

Precap: Rishi tells Jhanak that she can fool his family but not him. He says he knows Jhanak wants to use him again. He tells her to end their relationship by talking to her village people because he wants freedom from this relationship. Jhanak cries.
