While Divya Khossla’s movie Savi is already available to stream on OTT now, Alia Bhatt is also gearing up for her upcoming movie Jigra.
Divya Khossla ruled our hearts this year with her previous movie Savi which also featured Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor. Divya’s performances have always impressed us and this time too it was no surprise for the way she pulled this character off.
While Divya Khossla’s movie Savi is already available to stream on OTT now, Alia Bhatt is also gearing up for her upcoming movie Jigra. The trailer and the songs have already cast a magic spell over the audience and as we know that Alia Bhatt has always given some very strong performances and this time, the audience is expecting just that.
However, there has been a subtle argument over Jigra vs Savi where it was said that both the movies are similar to each other but a lot of audience tend to differ from it and what attracted us was a discussion amongst netizens who seemed pretty much into the matter and put across some points that will really leave you thinking that both the movies are indeed different. Take a look at the views below:
Parth Basu: Most people know that Mukesh Bhatt had purchased the right to The Next Three Days, and then made it into Savi. But did he purchase those rights when he was still working with Mahesh Bhatt?
Dhananjay Bhatti: The real question is, did Alia Bhatt know about the script because it seems a little weird if she did not know about it and yet she will be featured in a movie which is so similar.
Tara Patel: Here’s what you’re missing – Yes the trailer looks a little similar but the movie has a lot of differences, way more than similarities. Focus on the part that in Savi it’s a husband and wife along with their child.
Radhika Awasthy: Yes, the focus was mainly on Divya Khossla’s character and Anil Kapoor while in Jigra, we can see that the trailer sheds light equally on Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. The relationship of brother sister itself is a pretty big difference because it changes the relationship, the bond, the chemistry and so much more for the audience.
Dinesh Shakya: Yes, now that you mention this, I do see a lot of difference that can be but then why did Alia Bhatt announce the movie during the shoot of Savi? She could have done it earlier or maybe next year because even though it’s not a competition, this makes it look like one and it’s wrong.
Vijay Sarkar: The biggest conundrum is if Alia already knew about Mukesh purchasing the rights to The Next Three Days since he’s her father, Mahesh Bhatt (now estranged)’s brother.
