Junooniyat has less musical passion.

By Anil Merani| Colors show Junooniyat needs to live up to its premise; the promo showed a passion for music (it appeared different). Still, here it is, passion about Ilah( Neha  Rana) ki shaadi. Guess all offers eventually go down the saas-bahu route. Ankit Gupta fans are al miffed because he does not have enough screen space. Also, the story could be more appealing—no wonder the ratings don’t have enough junoon.

After Bigg Boss 16, Colors launched  Junooniyat and  Tere  Pyaar mein  Ghayal. There was considerable expectation given  Junoonyat casting had BB 16 inmates like Ankit Gupta and Gautam Vij, While the other fantasy show boasts of big names like Karan Kundraa, Gashmeer Mahajani and Reem Shaikh.

But unfortunately, both the shows have failed the set the trip meters on fire, showing that big names only help if you have good content as starting point.

Folks like me who thought we would get music were deeply disappointed with the same old shaadi track.

We expect better from producers like Ravi Dubey and  Sargun Mehta(Udaariyan and Swaran Ghar). I hope the makers correct the above mistakes and let the show flourish on music. There is still time, but the clock is running out lest the story turns out to be one more mundane effort.

In a way, by not giving too much screen space to Ankit, they are losing out on the Bigg Boss buzz. He is hot property which should be milked appropriately; ditto with Gautam.
