The episode starts with Attorney Shin having food while watching a divorce series. He then gets ready and goes to court to find a settlement case between a husband and wife. He provides the needed proof forcing the opponent party to give in and accept for settlement. Shin’s client hugs him and cries over their victor. On the other hand, a popular television host Lee Seo Jin is seen getting ready in a distressed way. People speak behind her back as recently her affair got revealed along with a sex tape. She’s scared to face people and is humiliated. Shin comes to his shabby cabin and his friend Hyung Gyun complaints about the misfunctioning door. He teases him for his late entry into the field but also calls him competitive for completing 4 years course in just two years. However he questions him why would he not go for bugger cases and is tuck with only divorce cases. Shin makes excuse that Happiness begins from home.
Hyung Gyun says about how his favorite RJ’s show was stopped as Seo Jin got in the sex tape scandal and is threw out of her job. Shin calls it unfair as they are punishing the victim instead of the criminal. While they were discussing, Seo Jin enters the office and they both were shocked to see her especially Hyung Gyun. He’s bewildered to come face to face with his idol and is really nervous. Shin sends him out and asks her the reason for her visit. Se says that she needs divorce. At first, Shin is not ready to take up the case but changes his mind when she says that she doesn’t want share in assets but the custody of her child. He gave her a heads up that the upcoming sessions would be tiring and agrees to take up the case. She comes to the radio station where people throw judgmental looks at her. Her only friend who worked with her is the only one who came to her to enquire about her state. She also reveals that she quit her job too as she needed a break. Seo Jin understands that she did it because of her and feels guilty.
Her friend asks her about Shin and asks if he’s competitive for which she replies that she doesn’t know. At home, her son Hyeon Woo is playing games and Seo Jin tries to take care of him but he refused any of her care. Her husband comes there and fights with her regarding the custody case and Seo Jin fights back promising to expose his true face to the world. he beats her and tries to throw her out of the house while her son increases he speaker volume to avoid hearing their fights. Shin meets Hyung Gyun and another friend Jong Sik who’s runs a real estate agency. They all leave to have food only to find their regular restaurant closed for personal reasons. Shin leaves to meet with Seo Jin who says that she moved back to her house upon his saying. He sends away Hyung Gyun who tried to listen to listen to their conversation.
Shin questions her about her affair and she reveals that she met her lover in a restaurant who was a chef there. She says that she was wooed by him who showed great admiration towards her work. Shin asks about her husband and she says that he’s not normal who keeps count of even her underwear’s and other private stuffs ending her privacy. She says that in the process of escaping from one wrong person she landed into the hands of other. Shin says that the mediation date is set and asks her to be present on that day. She asks what should she wear on the mediation day and he jokes with her. He asks her to wear anything comfortable for her. He then prepares for the case. On the mediation day, the opponent lawyer claims that Seo Jin didn’t show up when Hyeon woo got hurt at school and the teacher called her multiple times but couldn’t reach her. She says that she didn’t even show up at the hospital after he was rushed there.
Seo Jin recalls her boyfriend forbidding her to pick the call and that’s the day he recorded their sex tape. The opponent Lawyer claims that if the sex tape is seen by her son then it could affect him in a wrong way and so she shouldn’t be given the custody. Shin claims that the video is taken down from all the platforms and that she’s a victim and they are secondary victimizing her by snatching her rights. Shin says that she’s not the only one at fault as he husband is abusive to an extent that he wants her pictures to be sent every 30 minutes with whoever she’s with and that’s the reason she got socially separated from her friend’s circle. He says that he took pictures of her inners to underwear’s to keeps count on it an installed cameras even in dressing rooms and all over the house. Opponent Lawyer claims that the video is still in circulation. After listening to both the sides the Judge says that the session is over for the day and they would have the next session after Hyeon Woo’s psychology examination. Seo Jin is really guilty and leaves.
Shin checks about the video still in circulation and asks Hyun Gyun to check on it for his idol. During the psychology session, Hyeon Woo picturizes their family upon the saying of his father while claiming his mother as a bad one. Hyun Gyun says Shin that the video is taken down from all the platforms including all the traces from the offender too. Shin gets confused about how it’s getting circulated still. Shin meets with Hyeon Woo in school and takes him out for food. He initiates a soft conversation with him and finds him completely traumatized over something that he hates his mother. At night, Hyeon Woo gets fits and acts aggressive throwing away his father’s phone against and again when he tries calling him. While shin is lost in thoughts about Hyeon Woo, Seo Jin calls him to drop the case explaining the situation. Shin understands something and asks her to be ready as it’s no more a mediation but trial and they need to win it.
