The episode starts with all the Counters coming together to defeat Pil Gwang. Han Na tells that Ma Ju Seok is still alive inside him and they should summon him. So Min tells that he never for once gave up on him. They all start fighting together against Pil Gwang. As Pil Gwang falls weak, Han Na asks Mun to go inside his memories to find Ju Seok. Mun is worried that he needs to summon the territory for it which could increase Pil Gwang’s powers. The others promise to. protect him and Mun summons the territory and goes inside his memories. He calls out for Ma but Pil Gwang attacks him a lot. He also grew more powerful outside and started thrashing the other Counters. As they all fall defeated at a point So Mun’s tears fall in the water and the territory gets summoned inside the memories. Ma Ju Seok also raises in the outside and wants to put an end to all. He stabs himself fighting against Pil Gwang while Mun makes use of the opportunity to summon him
The other Counters wake up and Mae Ok cures Ju Seok. Han Na is worried that Mun hasn’t woken up yet. So Mun finds the apartment Ju Seok wanted to buy and finds him there living in hallucination. He. speaks to him to come.out of his own trauma. At first Ju Seok denies but later accepts the reality and comes out. As they all return Han Na deletes Ma’s memory about the evil spirit. Mun goes to Yung to send Pil Gwang to hell. Pil Gwang is still fascinated seeing Yung and Wi Gen open the portal for hell. Pil Gwang challenges Mun that he would come back again but Mun tells that he would summon him again too. Upon reaching the hell, Pil Gwang gets consumed by other evil spirits.
So Mun hugs Wi Gen in happiness. The Chinese Counters souls are freed and they are happy to be reunited in Yung. They ask for So Mun but Han Na tells that he’s busy with another work. Mo Tak brings Ju Seok to prison and So Mun brings Ju Seok’s mother to him . She gets emotional. Wi Gen tells So Mun that he’s the first counter to summon an evil spirit in the memories. She wants him to travel abroad and teach other Counters to fight the evil spirits. So Mun agrees but in return he demands her to let Min Ji meet Ju Seok as it would give him the hope to live. Wi Gen refuses at first but Mun says that it’s because of him he could summon Pil Gwang and explains to her the pain of suddenly losing their loved ones. Wi Gen finally agrees to his request. Ju Seok’s case is concluded as Jeok Bong give interview that he is the one who persuaded Ma Ju Seok to surrender.
So Mun visits Ju Seok in prison and tells about him going abroad. He also promises to protect him at any cost. He says attorneys are swarming in to help Ju Seok but Ju Seok doesn’t want it. As he goes inside So Mun uses his territory to let Ju Seok meet with Min Ji. Ju Seok is stunned and they have an emotional moment. Min Ji asks him to remember her whenever he wants to quit his life and 5 everyone about his trip abroad. They all get angry to get separated from Mun and immediately go to Yung to confront them. As they continue to fight with Yung people, So Mun tells that when someone like Ju Seok can become such a strong evil spirit. He says that he doesn’t want anymore victims. They all agree with him and support Mun in his decision.
So Mun gets ready to leave and Jang Mul gifts him first class plane tickets and a star hotel stay. He bids emotional goodbye to all the Counters and they all drive him to airport. Suddenly Jeok Bong smells evil spirits . They all rush there abandoning So Min on streets to fight the spirit. Six months later, Han Na starts a new friendship with Do Hwi by accident. Mo Tak is catching the culprits with Han Yeul and also catching an evil spirit. Jeok Bong took Ju Seok’s place in Mun’s grandmother’s life and does everything that Ju Seok did for her. She calls everyone to see the sky where she believes that her daughter and Min Ji are together happily playing. Mae Ok is taking care of the rogue guy who has mend his ways and has taken his studies seriously. He even passed the most difficult test and Mae Ok is proud of him. She’s on her way with Jang Mul for a dare while using the anti ageing stick gifted by the biy. So Mun is Germany where he comes across a girl named Jade who misses her mother. She’s actually Wi Gen’s daughter and he helps Wi Gen meet her daughter. She gets emotional and hugs her. The Counters reach a spot to fight evil spirits and So Mun joins them surprisingly. They defeat them and the show ends with them about to summon the spirit
