By Anil Merani: Will Zee TV’s decision to shift the time slot of its popular show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye from 10 pm to 7.30 pm prove a strategic move, or will it risk its current success? While a new time slot could attract a different audience, it also risks alienating the show’s current fan base.
Any shift brings chaos and, specific audience drop-ins and new joins, which leads to flux.
Every slot has a different grammar, given the audience size and profile
We can hope for Arjit Taneja and Sriti Jha’s sake that this flux does not hurt Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, among the few recent Zee TV successes outside Bhagya’s stable.
The fact that Arjit has openly discussed the change means he supports the decision, having been briefed about it internally. This should reassure the fans.
The channel, with its comprehensive data from both TAM and online sources, is in the best position to make such strategic decisions.
Only time will tell whether this call benefits the show or harms the product.
We can hope for the former, for we love the story and the casting
The PH (Mukta Dhond) has worked hard to execute the concept.
All this hard work has fructified with the show getting good online buzz.
Arjit and Sriti Jha are some of the more well-known stars on TV, and Sriti headlined Kumkum Bhagya.
