Actor Kang Hoon may be reuniting with “Dear Hyeri” director for a new youth drama!
On January 8, EDaily reported that Actor Kang Hoon will be starring as the male lead in the upcoming drama “Asura Balbalta”.
In response to the report, a representative from Kang Hoon’s agency npio Entertainment shared that Kang Hoon has received an offer to star in the new drama ‘Asura Balbalta’ and is positively reviewing it.
“Asura Balbalta” is a coming-of-age youth drama with elements of humor. It follows the journey of three struggling comedians striving to achieve their dreams and a woman whose life has fallen apart. The drama unfolds as they all come together to rise above their challenges and rediscover their dreams.
The drama will be helmed by director Jung Ji Hyun, who is known for his hit dramas “Mr. Sunshine,” “Search:WWW ,” “Twenty-Five Twenty-One,” and “Dear Hyeri.” The script is penned by Ahn Ah Reum, known for the drama “Once Again.”
Actor Kang Hoon who has won the hearts of many female audiences by giving them a second lead syndrome in the drama “Dear Hyeri” is reportedly in talks to play Kang Tae Goo, a once-promising “super rookie” in the comedy world. As the leader of Team Asura, Kang Tae Goo brims with passion for comedy but faces the harsh realities of an unforgiving world.
If Kang Hoon confirms to lead the drama, it would mark the actor’s second collaboration with director Jung Ji Hyun, following their recent drama “Dear Hyeri.”
