Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency is yet to get a censor certificate.

By Anil Merani: Will the release of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming controversial film Emergency be pushed back? It has already been delayed twice

Now, as per the source, the film based on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s 1975 Proclamation of Emergency is yet to get a censor certificate.

If the same does not happen soon, the 6th September date ,will have to be pushed back.

There seems to be some political battle going on, for it would seem well niegh impossible for a ruling party MP not to get a censor certificate.

The film has already snowballed into a controversy with Kangana’s remarks about the farmer protest and reference to rape and dead bodies

SAD President Simranjit Singh Mann’s repose has only fueled the fire

The fact that BJP washed its hand off the case shows Kangana is on her own; the party will not want to pay the price for her anti-farmer utterances in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.

A source says the production house is not worried about all these controversies, which will help to drive interest in the film when it releases. All this SM noise will also help get OTT views down the road. Today, OTT is a significant revenue guzzler.

Kangana is going all out to promote her directorial venture. Let’s see how she navigates the choppy road ahead.

Kangana needs a big hit after a spate of recent flops ( Judgementall Hai Kya,Thalaivii and Dhakkad)
